◎ First-phase preparations were started out for this project since March 1999, and these issues were successively accomplished, such as feasibility analysis, technical argumentation, and market survey, etc.

◎ Vontron Enviro-Tech Co., Ltd was established in December 2000, with its principal office located at South Huiton Hi-Tech Industrial Zone.

◎ The company dispatched 5 technicians to the United States for training from March to June, 2001.

◎ In July 2001, the company introduced from the United States a full set of producing line for pilot production of 12-inch composite RO membrane.

◎ On February 22, 2002, the producing technology and pilot-scale processing technology for RO-PCM

◎ membrane materials passed the Appraisal of New Technical Achievements organized by the Science & Technology Department of Guizhou Province.

◎ On March 12 of 2002, the preliminary design of membrane project passed the examination presided by the Development & Planning Committee of Guizhou Province.

◎ On March 31 of 2002, Li Lanqing, member of the Standing Committee of Politic Bureau of CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier, visited the company and took an inspection view of the Base for Pilot Production of Composite RO Membrane, as accompanied by Qian Yunlu (secretary of CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee) and Shi Xiushi (deputy secretary of CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and governor of Guizhou Province).

◎ From June to September 2002, A technician and engineer group of 10 people were sent to the United States for the training on the industrialized production of membrane, and for the acceptance of equipments.

◎ In October 2002, the producing line was installed in the membrane plant located at South Huiton Hi-Tech Industrial Zone, Guiyang National Development Zone of Hi-tech Industries, and trial run was carried out after debug of the equipments. Mass production and sales of polyamide composite RO membrane elements was set about in November of same year.

◎ The company appeared for the first time in the Fifth International Membrane & Water Treatment Technologies Exhibition, the one of specialized industry held in Beijing in September 2003. Our products won the high appraisal extensively from various counterparts and visitors.

◎ On October 25 of 2003, Jia Qinglin, member of the Standing Committee of Politic Bureau of CPC Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, visited our parent company – South Huiton Company Limited and took an inspection view of the composite RO membrane and other hi-tech products of South Huiton in exhibition, together with Hu Deping (deputy director for the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee), Sun Huaishan (deputy secretary general for the National Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference) and You Luoping (secretary general for the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee), as accompanied by Qian Yunlu (secretary of CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee), Shi Xiushi (governor of Guizhou Province) and Wang Siqi (chairman for Guizhou Provincial Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference). Jia Qinglin the chairman acquainted himself thoroughly with the development situation of membrane products, and spoke highly and affirmatively of this project and the membrane products.

◎ In November 2003, the company passed the certification of ISO9001:2000 Quality Control System conducted by China Quality Certification Center.

◎ The VONTRONTM RO membrane achieved success for the first time in mass industrialized application (more than 100 tons per hour) in Shanxi Aluminum Factory at the beginning of 2004.

◎ “The Forum on Technological Exchange for VONTRONTM RO Membrane” was held by the company in February 2004. Lots of representatives of enterprises and scientific research institutions inside and outside the Province attended this forum. The forum, which was focused on the application of RO

◎ membrane to water treatment, had brought about significant affirmative effect on the improvement of company status and the publicization of membrane products.

◎ The company successively appeared in the Guangzhou Water Exhibition and the Shanghai Membrane Exhibition in March 2004, and drawed the attention from lots of domestic and foreign manufacturers in both exhibitions, thus broadening the sales channels for our membrane products

◎ In december 2004, the company passed the certification of NSF.
